"I want to be a part of the city that I live in". This is her claim. Spontaneous street parties, oversized chess games in Manhattan with human figures or redesigning advertising overloaded walls with street art, the New York-based artist participates on many levels in society. She wants to give more presence to people living in a city, by portraying and placeing them into their neighbourhood. Her technique for it is the papercut. Meanwhile, her famous Cut-Outs not only hanging on the walls of large cities around the world, they captured the great halls of the art, such as MOMA or Tate Modern. Above all the leading auction houses Phillips, Sotheby’s and Christie’s selling their works.
