Portrait
The papercuts of Charlotte McGowan-Griffin are mysterious and imaginative. In her works she combines stories of the good and the bad with mystic and even threatening atmosphere. Her paper worlds are rich in details and characterized by its filigree technique. With a special knife the artist cuts tiny and complex structures out of tons of papersheets, forms them into space altering sculptures and creates a three-dimensional universe.
